Senior Internal Communications and Events Manager

  £70k – £80k     |      Permanent     |      London (Hybrid)

We’re looking for an experienced Internal Communications leader to shape and deliver an engaging communications and events strategy that keeps colleagues informed, connected and inspired. You’ll champion the profile of Internal Communications across the business, partnering with senior leaders and acting as a trusted advisor on Executive and Senior Leadership Team communications. With a talent for turning complex information into clear, compelling messages, you’ll create a consistent narrative that brings the organisation’s strategy and culture to life.

You’ll also lead the internal events programme and oversee a diverse mix of digital, print and face-to-face communication channels, ensuring every touchpoint delivers impact. Using insight and data to measure success, you’ll continually evolve the channels and content strategy to maximise engagement, while building strong relationships across the organisation to deliver communications that truly resonate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, deliver and evolve the internal communications and events strategy which is directly aligned with the organisation’s business strategey.
  • Own the internal channels strategy to develop, deliver and manage a range of effective internal communications channels, with consistent measurement. 
  • Work directly with Exec and senior team to create narrative and ensure a regular rhythm of meaningful communications and events to the business and their teams, acting as a trusted communications coach
  • Manage an Internal Communications and Events Executive and lead a virtual team of communications ambassadors
  • Manage budget and external suppliers where required to support with execution of internal communications strategy.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive communications experience leading internal communications and events, ideally in a fast moving, operational environment
  • Strong experience building trusting relationships with stakeholders across the business including the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team
  • Excellent writing skills that include translating complex technical language into meaningful ‘everyday’ speak
  • Extensive experience in relationship management and interpersonal communications skills 
  • Strong experience managing, measuring and evolving internal communications channels delivering internal campaigns
  • Strong knowledge of internal communication best practice
  • Line management experience required.

This is a permanent role with 3 days per week in the office.
