Change Communications Manager (M&A)
The role:
We’ve partnered exclusively with a global media company to find them a Change Communications Manager on an initial 6-month contract paying up to £80k pro rata.
The Change Communications Manager will support with the development and implementation of communications activities related to an upcoming acquisition. Partnering closely with the Global Communications Team, the Project M&A team, change management teams and some senior leaders to ensure that communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with the project’s objectives, fostering understanding and engagement at all levels of the organisation.
The successful candidate will:
- Work together with the M&A Project team and Communications Workstream teams to define and implement the internal and external Communications Strategy for the first 6 months (following the finalisation of the acquisition)
- Define and deliver any relevant change communications support required to support the integration of the new business
- Manage communications updates to the relevant teams
Responsibilities:
- Develop communication strategies in line with project plans, change impact assessment and stakeholder analysis
- Create relevant communication narratives (based on the overall project narrative)
- Develop and implement communication activities according to communication standards and channels and monitor their success
- Plan, develop and manage the design, content, and production of various communication formats and assets (e.g. intranet articles, videos, townhalls)
- Advise and support senior leaders with innovative communication measures
Please note, this role is a dual internal and external communications role and the hiring manager is looking for someone who has managed both during a largescale merger or acquisition. This would not suit a sole internal or external communications professional.
The role also offers lots of flexibility with the successful candidate only needing to go into the central London office as and when required.
