Internal Communications Manager

The role:

We’ve partnered exclusively with a global professional services firm to help them find an Internal Communications Manager for their UK, India, Middle East and Africa regions.  

The successful candidate will ensure that employees are informed, engaged and connected to the organisation’s wider strategy and objectives. They’ll report into the Internal Communications Lead, and work closely with the wider marketing & communications team to drive efficiency and consistency of messaging across the business.

This role has line management responsibility, has a hybrid working model of 3 days p/w in the central London office, and is paying up to £60k per annum.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop and execute proactive and strategic internal communication initiatives for the region alongside a wider regional and global Communications & Marketing team, in partnership with leaders and other business stakeholders
  • Support the internal communications team in the successful implementation and rollout of these activities through innovative and creative thinking, tailoring strategic messaging, drafting and designing communications, maximising and developing our channels, segmenting audiences for more personalisation and intentional internal communication and – crucially – measuring and reporting on outcomes
  • Consult with business partners and senior leadership on their communication and change management strategies, advising on best practices to enhance engagement
  • Proactively identify and link themes together across the organisation to support employee and leadership engagement, working with other regional and global counterparts to ensure alignment of activities and messaging
  • Line manage junior team members, working with them to develop their skills and support their career development

Experience required:

    • A proven background in internal communications, ideally with experience of working in a matrixed/ professional services environment
    • Ability to be adaptable to changing business requirements
    • A highly collaborative working style
    • Demonstrable skills in written communication, copywriting and editing skills
    • Creative curiosity and demonstrable interest in best practice internal communications techniques, with the ability to write for various voices using different tone or style to convey a message
    • A proven ability to quickly build trusted relationships at multiple levels
